Haunted Haven and Other Ghost Stories
Arthur Erskine Ellis (1902-83) was a distinguished biologist and natural history teacher for over forty years. While employed as a biology master at Lancing College in the 1920s, he had an early encounter with his literary hero M.R. James, and often entertained his college students by relating several macabre ghost stories of his own. These memorable and excellent tales waited many years finally to see publication in various 1970s anthologies. Long out of print, they are now collected together here in a single volume for the first time.
